Year 2 explored the school grounds to find plants and animals that live in our locality. We searched high and low, under and over, in and out! We found lots of wildlife like spiders, tadpoles, worms, daffodils, daisies and primroses!

Golden Brown Toast! - Numeracy in Science lessons
As part of our 'Changing Materials' topic we carried out a fair test investigation to see which number setting on a toaster would be the best for turning bread into 'golden brown' toast. Look at our photos. Which piece of toast do you think looks golden brown?
Making Pencil Cases - Using numeracy in DT
For Design and Technology we have made our own Pencil Cases. We have learnt lots of new skills. These pictures show how we can Design, Measure, Cut, Make and Evaluate. We had a great time and were very pleased with our finished designs.
Communicating ideas - The Twits by Roald Dahl
This term our topic has been The Twits by Roald Dahl. In class we are encouraged to work as part of a team. Sometimes we work in small groups, and other times we work in pairs as Talking Partners. Here we are thinking about as many adjectives as we could to describe Mr and Mrs Twit. We had lots of ideas to use in our writing!
Little PESS stars!
Year Two have enjoyed their PESS Gymnastics lessons with Mr Williams. He has worked them very hard. He thinks they would be tough competition for his Year Six class. Well done Yr 2! They have used their communication skills to tell each other how they think they could improve their actions.What Body Schooling Actions are we performing below?
Santa comes to town!
Year Two were very lucky as we had a visit from Father Christmas. We told him how hard we had been working and also how good we have been! He said his elves had been extremely busy making toys for us to play with.We used our communication skills by listening to him really carefully.
