L, L& C - Writing Instructions

Last week we made star cookies. We had to read and follow instructions.

Then we wrote our own instructions for 'How to Make Star Cookies'. We used verbs and adverbs in our instructions.

'1. Wash your hands thoroughly.'

We had to peg the correct verb and instruction on a rocket.

We used the Solar System mat to play games.

We had to solve problems in the reading corner.

We programmed Bee Bot to the correct verb on the mat.

We used the microphone to tell each other instructions using verbs and adverbs.

We had fun in the space shuttle too! We had to speak to our co-pilot using verbs and adverbs. We recorded our observations of Space in a log book.

We followed instructions for how to make sandwiches.

We looked for the verb and the adverb in each instruction.

We made the sandwiches in preparation for our 'Moon Picnic'.

Moon Picnic

We have been revising our understanding of instructions. We had to read and follow instructions to make cookies and sandwiches for our 'Moon Picnic'. It was fantastic on the moon and we all enjoyed our delicious picnic!
