PESS- Creating a Sequence

In gymnastics, we created a sequence of BS actions. We had to change direction, speed and show good starting and finishing positions.

Creative Development - Making Rock Cakes

We have been learning how to read and follow instructions.
We know that instructions tell you what to do. They have numbered instructions which are in the correct order and they start with a 'bossy' verb.
Weigh the ingredients.

Beat the mixture together.

Pile heaps of mixture on the baking tray.

Cool the rock cakes.

Enjoy your tasty rock cakes!

Physical Development

We continued to practise our underarm and overarm throws. Then we worked in pairs and threw the ball overarm / underarm to our partner. We had to try and make our partner run to catch the ball.

When we got back to class, we watched videos that we took using the 'Tuff Cam'.
We talked about what we did well and what we need to improve for next time.

Roll Up Roll up!

After picking tomatoes and beans, we decided to set up a stall and sell our tasty produce.
We made signs and posters and we packaged the beans and tomatoes.
Then we set up a stall and waited for our costumers to come flocking!

We had great fun being shopkeepers!

Roll up, roll up! Come and buy our tasty tomatoes!

K & U / Physical

Our bean and tomato plants had grown very well over the summer holidays!
We picked them and decided to sell our produce after school.

Mathematical Development - Place Value / Counting in 10's

We've been finding out about place value.
We divided numbers into tens and units and we practised counting on and and back in 10's.
What's 10 more than 42? What's 10 less than 57?

PSWBCD

We asked ourselves- What makes a good friend?
We created our own alien friend and thought of adjectives to describe his qualities.
We wrote some fantastic describing words: cheerful, exciting, funny, caring and helpful.

Physical Development - Throwing

We've been practising our underarm and overarm throwing skills.
How far can you throw underarm?
How high can you throw overarm?

Can you aim the beanbag into the hoop using an underarm throw?

We had great fun working in teams.
